- Start coaching at the time of booking - hand them a hostess packet at the party and tell them you must receive back the guest list before you close their friend's show. Get them started with a goal to get the most free jewelry (which is 10 orders and 2 show bookings). If they start on this from day one, you are more likely to get both outside orders and outside show bookings.
- Make sure to coach them again over the phone and remind them of the benefits for hitting that 10 and 2. Suggest to them that they personally ask each of their friend who is a "YES" RSVP to bring one friend with them. A quick and easy way to double the attendance.
- Keep it simple and don't overload them with information. Stick to the basics in your hostess packet - guest list, catalogs, outside order forms, and an explanation of 10&2 and the monthly specials.
- Really coach them on the importance of attitude. You will see a difference in your show sales and attendance when a hostess says "don't worry about buying anything, it isn't a big deal, just come hang out" vs. "come and check it out, this is great jewelry and you WANT to see it in person, trust me. I know you will love it, just come see it." Your hostess' belief in the product and excitement shared with her guest list will go a long way. Let her know that this can be a key to having a successful show.
- Work smarter, not harder. If you can work on increasing the number of people you see at each show, that is an increase in sales, an increase in hostesses and an increase in potential recruits. Put your time at each party to the best use.
